How does it work?

Sign up:

You can sign up for free by clicking on the “SIGNUP NOW” button on our website or on the “Registration” page and selecting one of the four categories for your user account. Your most suitable Buddy Style will be proposed to you directly during the registration process.

Choose your Buddy Style:

GipsyBuddy, LocalBuddy, ProBuddy or VIPBuddy. The categories are divided according to the different requirements for ability levels as well as local knowledge of the ski resorts. Each Buddy type can offer/benefit from all the SnowBuddies services without restriction, except for guiding and communicating information – these can only be offered by Local, Pro and VIPBuddies.

GipsyBuddies represent the majority at SnowBuddies and form the foundation of the community. They are the heart and soul of the freeride community, where Buddies can unrestrictedly contact and exchange details with fellow freeriders. Guides have the opportunity to offer paid services to the GipsyBuddies. Essentially, Buddies are completely free to choose their freeriding partners. The same applies to those who are used to whizzing down the slopes, freeriding newbies and experienced professionals. The main focus is about having fun together on the slopes and benefiting from each other. If you want to search for the ideal entourage for a skiing tour on www.snowbuddies.ch, you have two options.

Search for another Buddy (Find Buddies):

On the one hand, you can use the “Find Buddies” tool to call up a map of Switzerland, which clearly indicates how many Buddies are currently available in various Swiss ski resorts. You can contact or book Buddies at the click of a button.

Buddy up with others (Find Rides):

On the other hand, registered buddies can invite others to take part in planned freeriding tours using various filters and based on the information they have provided (place, date, time and sports equipment required etc.), which other Buddies can see under “Find Rides” or on the map.
